Beach vs Scientific Conference

It has been a while since my last posts. Here's an update of what I've been doing.

In the past days I was at a very exciting and informative conference near by the beach. So with the only spare times I had, I went to the beach as much as I can even I'm not in the water but at least I'm on the beach.

 

First night, went for a walk and there it was full moon and beautiful scenery.

 Next morning, got up early and went for a walk again. Even though it was early but the sun was right up and very warm nice weather. Wish I was free to go swimming/ tanning (tisk tisk).

Eat Up After A Hard Day Of Work

Change back into my less glamorous retro clothes and off we go for lunch

Went to a restaurant near the Power House for lunch. It was pretty reasonably priced $46 including Complementary small bites, Entrée, Main and Desert plus a Drink.

Drink: Ice Coffee with Ice Cream

 

 Small Bits: Puffs with viscous sweet sauce

 

Entrée: Special Spaghetti & Ravioli - Delicious sauces

 

 Main: Seared Trout with Brown Rice - beautifully cooked   

 

Main: Lamb with cheese puffs

Dessert: Orange & Pasticcio Cake with Pasticcio Ice Cream - Really like the cake, it was nice and hot with a crispy top

Behind the glamorous photos there's stress and sweat. It was a hot Friday today in Brisbane. With make up and hair done we (including few others) had to catch a bus to the photo shoot venue due to occurrence of some confusion.  So we waited and waited, then we uncovered that the bus we planned to catch had broken down. As a end result we had to take the bus that drops us off ~15mins away from the venue.

Phew~~ WHAT A WLK

 

Of course to entertain ourselves - Photo Time!  The very thin coat is for protecting the beads from rubbing off when I'm my big bag. Yes it was very sticky and hot with it on but must say it somehow went well with the dress in a more dress down sense.

Beautiful weather in Brissy on Labour Day (today)!! 

South Bank man made beach was packed with people.

It was so HOT!!!! Went to Max Brenna for a delicious Chocolate Fudge Brownie Sundae while Katrina had her Dark Chocolate Mocha Frappe and strawberries.

Mythical Vampire Inspired: Soirée Noir

Third look of the FOUR - Mythical Vampire Inspired Soirée Noir. This was emphasised with the classic and elegant long black (noir) evening dress and dark purple rouge lipstick (Estée Lauder, Black Classis MATTE 04). Lastly, Soirée Noir was nicely complemented by the red carpet and marble stairs to complete the vision.

With outdoor shoot stripping away the red carpet and marble stairs, the beautiful purple colours of falling jacaranda had provided a similar vibe but toning down the strong dark look.
